Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

A web-based self-help intervention programme, has been developed by a team of researchers and clinicians from the University of Birmingham, University of Bath, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust, and the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. It offers support to people who are affected by, or worried about a relative's drinking or drug misuse.
